The Spectrum Literary Magazine is a student-run club and magazine publication at Morris Knolls that celebrates young creativity through artwork, short-stories, poetry, photography and more. This year’s theme is Reverie, inviting students to explore dreams, imagination, and self-reflection through their art and literature. As March rolls around, the magazine opens for submissions from students.
The magazine is open to all students, and publishes all art and writing mediums. Though the magazine is digital, traditional art and writing is still viable to be submitted, it just needs to be photographed and uploaded.
The club president, Julia Jose, has been hard at work managing and advertising the club through flyers, announcements, and more. Recently, members of the magazine created a library display to advertise the magazine.
Victoria Dejour, a sophomore who helped work on the display, had this to say about her involvement: “Working on the display was really fun! Spectrum Magazine is a great outlet for creative people and I am so happy to work with everyone in the club.”

If anyone is interested in joining the club, they can join the Google Classroom with the code, MRXNU33 and attend meetings on Thursdays in B-22, the classroom of the club advisor, Mr. Jason Collinsworth. Of course, it is not required to be a part of the club to submit.
Submissions are to be emailed to [email protected], due April 1st.
