“How many AP exams are you taking this year?” is a question that has weaved its way into many conversations held at Morris Knolls as those big tests loom closer. When answering this question, many students, particularly juniors and seniors, begin to realize just how much studying they may have to do to earn that sacred “5” on each exam, and they begin to get nervous. But what if preparing for AP exams didn’t have to cause weeks of stress, and instilled confidence in the test taker as well as better results?
Here are some tips from students who have taken AP tests in the past.

Several AP teachers have been teaching their classes for many years, even decades, and have much wisdom to pass down to students hoping to earn a 5 on their exams. Some of their study hacks may apply to you even if they are not your teacher!

With these tests beginning May 4, it is important to set aside the time needed to study and think about test-taking strategies, while still making time to relish in end-of-year activities. Remember to eat a good meal before each exam and do NOT spend the whole night before the test studying; that will do much more harm than good. As long as you follow these study tips and focus on your goal, studying for AP tests will feel much more manageable.
